Even as an alternative rock fan I love this song and knew it right away. What is cool with this time is this is where a lot of really good guitar solos really shined in my eyes and the people who played them at this time perfected the art of playing the guitar. This song is really long
at about 6 minutes and 30 seconds. I wish that they had done a version
where it was a little shorter, but it is still a great song. I also
found it funny when this song became a meme these last few years. I think this will be a classic that should not go away for a long time. What is great about this song is even though this song is from back in 1976 it does not feel out of place today. One of the things that I enjoy about this song is it is very relaxing. The starting guitar solo is very soft and smooth. The singing is very soft but I like that it is at a good pace because it is not too slow or too fast. The tone of his voice is very fitting for this song.

Nicholas, great job on your blog post for Hotel California by the Eagles. Hotel California is one of my favorite old rock songs. Like you mentioned, the guitar solos are very catchy and relaxing parts really define it as a soft rock genre. Definitely one that will be a standard for a long time.
